<br><p><span><span>Brightspot Front-End Developer<br> Remote, MST<br> 6- month contract<br> Pay Rate: $48.00 - $55.00per hr.<br> <br> The Brightspot developer role will be supporting our websites that are used to market BYU Pathway to current and future students. There will be a large effort to have much of the Brightspot work adjusted to better fit some standards and to modernize it by the end of the year. This role will be working with the lead engineer and others on the team in accomplishing that work.<br> We are seeking a hands-on Brightspot Front-End Developer to join our team on a contract basis and help accelerate delivery of a high-priority marketing website initiative. The project is currently planned through mid-next year, but the business has prioritized an accelerated timeline with a goal of substantially increasing development velocity and completing key deliverables before year-end.<br> This individual will work alongside an existing team of developers and serve as an individual contributor focused on Brightspot CMS development and front-end implementation. The ideal candidate will be able to ramp up quickly, contribute immediately, and help increase overall project throughput.<br> The current version is 4.5 and is upgrading to version 5. This role will be supporting an effort to modernize and improve the way that we are using Brightspot for these websites, under the direction of the lead engineer and others on the team.<br> <br> Key Responsibilities</span> </span> </p> <ul> <li> <span> <span> Develop and maintain website functionality within the Brightspot CMS platform</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Build and enhance front-end components and user-facing website experiences</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Collaborate closely with the existing development team to accelerate project delivery</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Implement features, enhancements, and fixes in support of marketing website objectives</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Contribute to overall development efficiency and delivery velocity</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Participate in technical discussions and provide practical implementation recommendations</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Support automation initiatives and development process improvements where appropriate</span> </span> </li> </ul> <p> <span> <span> Required Qualifications</span> </span> </p> <ul> <li> <span> <span> 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on front-end development and content-driven web applications.</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience working with Brightspot</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience with Java development</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience with javascript and javascript frameworks</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience with Docker containers</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience working with Azure DevOps Boards or similar technologies for tracking work items</span> </span> </li> <li> <span> <span> Experience working with Git repositories especially GitHub</span></span></li></ul>
