This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of $60,000 – $75,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits including health and dental insurance, life coverage, paid training, paid vacation, and a retirement plan. Job Description As a CDL Class A Driver for reefer trucks, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials. You will be overseeing the operation of the refrigerated (reefer) truck, ensuring the correct temperature settings for each load, and verifying that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. Responsibilities – Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck – Load and unload cargo – Properly track and document activity log – Report any issues or incidents to dispatch – Inspect truck before and after trip – Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures – Maintain the appropriate temperature level in the reefer unit Requirements – Valid CDL Class A License – Minimum of 1-year verifiable driving experience with reefer trucks – Clean driving record – Ability to handle physical workload – Strong work ethic and highly responsible – No DUI in the past five years Education – High school diploma or equivalent Experience – Proven work experience as a truck driver – Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Benefits – Health, Dental and Life Insurance – Paid Training – Paid Vacation – Retirement Plan About Swift Transportation Swift Transportation is a Phoenix, Arizona-based American truckload motor shipping carrier, part of Knight-Swift.
