About the Role

Wong Hing Long Technologies is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist cum Programmer to join our precision machining department. This is a “Full-Cycle” role: you will be responsible for taking engineering drawings, creating the NC programs, setting up the machines, and executing the high-precision manufacture of components for the Aerospace, Defense, and Semi-conductor industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced CAM Programming: Utilize Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, or Delcam to create efficient 3-axis to 5-axis milling programs or complex turning/multi-tasking paths.

  • Machine Setup & Operation: Independently set up and operate Hwacheon, Okuma, or Fanuc-controlled CNC Milling and Turning centers.

  • Technical Interpretation: Master the reading of complex 2D/3D blueprints and GD&T symbols to ensure parts meet tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.005$ mm.

  • Tooling Strategy: Select optimal cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for a variety of materials, including Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and high-strength alloys.

  • First-Article Inspection: Perform your own quality checks using CMM, profile projectors, and manual precision instruments before hand-over to the QA department.

  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine programs to reduce cycle times, improve surface finishes, and extend tool life.

  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior operators on the shop floor to ensure consistency in production quality.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on CNC experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated Programming capacity.

  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.

    • Strong command of G-code and M-code editing at the controller.

    • Experience with 5-axis machining or Live-tooling Lathes is a major advantage.

  • Education: Diploma or Precision Engineering Vocational Certificate (NTC-2 / NiTEC).

  • Mindset: A “Quality-First” approach with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical setups independently.
