Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the global product vision and category strategy aligned to brand priorities
  • Lead long-range planning and seasonal merchandising frameworks to support growth and innovation
  • Translate consumer insights and market trends into actionable product direction
  • Own and refine assortment strategy and line plan, ensuring clarity, focus, and scalability across markets
  • Drive product from concept through launch and in-season performance management
  • Ensure alignment to brand positioning, quality standards, and price-value expectations
  • Accountable for category performance, including revenue growth, margin, and full-price sell-through
  • Partner closely with Planning to optimize product mix and performance outcomes
  • Lead in-season business analysis to identify risks and opportunities
  • Champion a deep understanding of target consumer segments
  • Partner with Marketing to develop compelling product stories and go-to-market strategies
  • Ensure product consistently reinforces brand positioning and differentiation
  • Collaborate across a matrixed global organization to align teams to a shared vision
  • Drive clear decision-making and prioritization across product, financial, and brand objectives
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure balance between global consistency and local relevance
  • Lead and develop a merchandising team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development

Requirements

  • 10+ years of merchandising, product merchandising, or category leadership experience within apparel, lifestyle, premium, or luxury-adjacent brands
  • Built and scaled categories, product concepts, or businesses with measurable commercial impact
  • Elevated point of view on product, style, fabrication, quality, and brand storytelling
  • Experience developing consumer-led strategies, assortment architectures, and long-range product visions
  • Balances elevated product instincts with revenue, margin, and productivity goals
  • Influences across partners like Design, Product Development, Sourcing, Planning, and Marketing
  • Comfortable leading through influence, setting direction, and rallying teams around a shared vision
  • Thrives in entrepreneurial environments where initiative and building new capabilities are part of the opportunity
  • Energized by creating the future of a brand, category, or consumer proposition and bringing that vision to life through product and team leadership
