Freelance SEO + AEO Specialist — Per-Client Work

About StartWeb7

StartWeb7 provides website development and ongoing SEO + AEO management services for businesses. We are seeking an experienced freelance SEO + AEO specialist to complete defined monthly deliverables for our client accounts.

Client accounts are offered according to demand. You may accept or decline each account based on your availability. There are no required weekly hours, assigned shifts, exclusivity requirements, or guaranteed accounts.

Compensation and Monthly Assignments

Essentials — $650 per active client per month

Responsibilities include:

• Keyword and search-opportunity research

• Research of up to three competitors

• Two new SEO pages per month

• Multi-city targeting

• On-page SEO updates

• Internal-linking updates

• Prioritized technical fixes

• SEO and AEO improvements

• Monthly summary of completed work

Competitive — $1,200 per active client per month

Responsibilities include:

• Advanced keyword and search-opportunity research

• Research of up to five competitors

• Competitor content-gap identification

• Four new SEO pages per month

• Multi-service and multi-city targeting

• Prioritized technical fixes

• Advanced SEO and AEO improvements

• Detailed monthly summary of completed work

Payments are made through fixed-price Upwork milestones. The amounts listed are the gross milestone amounts. Any Upwork service or withdrawal fees are the contractor’s responsibility.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete all agreed monthly deliverables by the established deadline.

• Create original, useful, and factually supportable content written for each client’s business and target customers.

• Publish completed work on the client’s website when responsible for CMS publishing.

• Provide live URLs or screenshots showing that completed work has been published.

• If not responsible for publishing, provide proof that the work was delivered to the person responsible for publishing it.

• Provide StartWeb7 with the information needed for client reports and monthly meetings.

• Communicate with designated client staff when necessary to gather information, coordinate approvals, and complete the assigned work.

• Complete one reasonable revision round within the original scope.

Requirements

• Must be based in California.

• Demonstrated professional SEO experience.

• Experience with keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page SEO, internal linking, technical SEO, and local SEO.

• Understanding of AEO and how to structure content for search engines and AI-generated answers.

• Strong SEO content-writing and editing skills.

• Experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

• Experience working inside website and CMS platforms.

• Ability to work independently and meet agreed monthly deadlines.

• Must provide your own computer, internet connection, software, equipment, and SEO tools.

• Must operate an independently established SEO, AEO, or digital-marketing business or profession and hold any required business registration or license.

Copied content, fabricated facts, keyword stuffing, spam backlinks, deceptive practices, and guaranteed-ranking claims are prohibited.

Standard assignments do not include major website repairs, complete redesigns, paid-media management, or paid backlinks unless separately agreed upon and funded.
