About the Role

We're seeking a skilled GitHub Platform Admin to manage, optimize, and secure our organization's GitHub ecosystem. You'll ensure smooth collaboration for developers, enforce best practices, and scale our repositories for growing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer GitHub Enterprise/Cloud accounts, including user access, permissions, and organization settings.
  • Set up and maintain repositories, workflows, Actions, and integrations with tools like CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Monitor usage, enforce security policies (e.g., branch protection, secret scanning), and troubleshoot issues.
  • Automate tasks using GitHub API, webhooks, and scripting (Python/Bash).
  • Train teams on GitHub features and migrate repositories as needed.
  • Generate reports on repository activity and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with GitHub (Enterprise preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Git workflows, Actions, Packages, and security features.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and API usage.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes a plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication for cross-team support.
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
