With advanced instruments, image-guided systems, and implants, we enhance precision, safety, and efficiency, supporting clinicians with education and clinical guidance to improve patient outcomes. <br/><br/>Medtronic ENT is seeking a Health Economics Manager to partner with sales teams, healthcare providers, and decision-makers to drive acceptance and sustained use of its ENT therapies. The role serves as a reimbursement and health economics expert, evaluating financial and policy factors that affect therapy adoption across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices.<br/><br/>Reporting to the Director of Reimbursement and Health Economics for the ENT portfolio, this senior-level individual contributor leads complex projects with significant autonomy and serves as a subject-matter expert in reimbursement and healthcare economics. The role involves conducting financial audits and benchmarking analyses, delivering education and training to clinical and administrative stakeholders, and partnering with key accounts to support cost-effective therapy adoption. By addressing coding, coverage, and payment challenges and helping facilities establish effective reimbursement processes, the position plays a critical role in improving patient access to Medtronic ENT therapies and supporting sustainable market adoption.<br/><br/>At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand cross-functional collaboration. This role will require<b> 50-75</b>% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure the successful completion of projects.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</b><br/><br/><b>Reimbursement Tools & Materials</b><br/><ul><li>Provide input and assist in developing reimbursement materials and tools for customers (Physicians, Coding Staff, Administrators, etc.) and the field sales team.</li><li>Identify educational needs of priority accounts and use approved Medtronic tools to deliver relevant training and education on coding, billing, and reimbursement.</li><li>Develop a monthly report of provider activities, including regional trends and developments, to support quarterly updates to Senior Leadership.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Reimbursement and Access Support</b><br/><ul><li>Develop and implement reimbursement strategies and tactics aligned with Sales leadership to minimize or remove coding, coverage, and payment barriers for Medtronic products and therapies.</li><li>Serve as the primary field-based expert for reimbursement, coding, and coverage.</li><li>Educate administrators, billing managers, and healthcare providers on correct use of HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10 codes, modifiers, and documentation requirements.</li><li>Support customers in navigating Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer coverage policies and prior-authorization requirements.</li><li>Provide one-on-one and group training on prior authorization, claim submission, appeals, and payment processes.</li><li>Identify, triage, and resolve access barriers in collaboration with internal reimbursement support teams.</li><li>Identify key issues and trends with commercial and government payers; determine and implement appropriate solutions.</li><li>Conduct webinars for new and existing customers (frequency based on customer need) and track/report attendance.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Field Education and Relationship Management</b><br/><ul><li>Partner with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and compliance.</li><li>Deliver in-person and virtual reimbursement workshops and policy update sessions.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b><br/><ul><li>Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Compliance teams.</li><li>Provide field insights on reimbursement trends and economic models as warranted.</li><li>Work with Marketing colleagues on strategies addressing the needs of key Government, Healthcare Agencies, and Commercial Stakeholders, influencing economic and policy decisions on product coding and reimbursement.</li><li>Participate in initiatives supporting new product launches and payment advocacy efforts.</li><li>Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Required Knowledge and Experience: </b><br/><br/><b>Must Haves </b>- Minimum Requirements<br/><br/>To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident in your applicant profile and on your resume.<br/><ul><li>Bachelor's degree required.</li><li>Minimum of 7years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with medical device coding, coverage, and payment (reimbursement).</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Nice to Have </b><br/><ul><li>Master's Degree in business, healthcare, health policy, or related field.</li><li>Work experience directly related to the payer or healthcare provider decision makers (C-suite, administration, director -level) physicians, private practice managers.</li><li>Experience developing and implementing strategic relationships and concepts with key influencers, utilizing business and financial measures with economic modeling.</li><li>Experience creating and giving presentations.</li><li>Experience utilizing effective influencing and sales skills.</li><li>Knowledge and/or experience negotiating payer/provider contracts.</li><li>Experience building strong cross-functional partners.</li></ul><br/>For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. a7 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.<br/><br/><b>Physical Job Requirements</b><br/><br/>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. <br/><br/>The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
