<strong>Job Description</strong><br><br><strong>Job Objective</strong><br><br><strong> </strong><br><br>The Education Lab Instructor will play a vital role in facilitating practical and innovative learning experiences for pre-service teachers. Participate in the academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community. </li><li>Engage in applied research relevant to the Division's interest and the national innovation agenda and its targeted priority sectors</li></ul><br><br><strong> </strong><br><br><strong>Operational Role</strong><br><br><strong>Teaching</strong><br><br><strong> </strong><br><ul><li>Plan and execute interactive lessons that promote active participation and engagement among students while utilizing a variety of teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles. </li><li>Ensure that lesson plans align with the main course instructor's plans and timelines while also incorporating innovative approaches and technologies. </li><li>Conduct demonstrations and experiments to illustrate key concepts and principles across various courses. </li><li>Provide one-on-one assistance and guidance to students as they work on projects and assignments and offer constructive feedback to help them overcome challenges and achieve learning goals. </li><li>Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to exploration and discovery and implement effective classroom management strategies to promote respect, collaboration, and teamwork among students. </li><li>Assess student progress through observation, discussions, and performance-based assessments as well as keeping detailed records of student achievements and areas for improvement to be shared with course instructors. </li><li>Stay current with trends and best practices in education and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge Observe and reinforce health, safety and housekeeping procedures within the laboratory.
