Job Summary:

Progressive Technology is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Billing Team Lead to join our US-based Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Operations. As the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a dynamic team of billing specialists, ensuring that all medical billing procedures are executed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing workflows, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimizing the billing process to achieve the best results for our clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of medical billing specialists within the RCM department.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical billing team, ensuring timely and accurate billing for all healthcare providers.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and insurance requirements.

  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections from insurance companies, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth billing processes.

  • Conduct regular audits of billing activities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain accurate reports on billing performance, team productivity, and error rates.

  • Provide training and guidance to team members on billing best practices, software usage, and regulatory compliance.

  • Coordinate with management to optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.

  • Ensure timely submission of claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize revenue.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in medical billing, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or team lead role within the RCM industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of US healthcare billing processes, insurance policies, and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).

  • Strong understanding of billing software and electronic claims submission platforms.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare providers, clients, and insurance companies.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex billing issues.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management (RCM).

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in the US RCM healthcare setting.

  • Experience with medical billing software (such as Epic, NextGen, or similar platforms).

  • Familiarity with insurance regulations, payer requirements, and claim management processes.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (flexible working hours may be available depending on client needs).

  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines and manage peak billing periods.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare billing codes, insurance requirements, and the revenue cycle process.
