Duties

  • Manage inbound and outbound phone calls with professionalism, courtesy, and clarity, ensuring each patient or client feels valued and understood
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-up inquiries using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Provide detailed information about health insurance plans, coverage options, and billing procedures to clients seeking assistance
  • Enter and update patient data accurately within electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) platforms while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Troubleshoot common technical issues related to healthcare portals or communication tools, guiding users through solutions effectively
  • Support healthcare providers by verifying patient information, processing referrals, and managing documentation workflows
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills in multilingual settings when applicable to serve a diverse client base
Experience
  • Previous client services experience in a healthcare or call center environment is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance policies, and healthcare support processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Experience managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus—fluency in additional languages enhances service delivery to diverse populations
  • Excellent analysis skills combined with problem-solving capabilities to address customer inquiries effectively
