The company is seeking an Abrasive Sales Specialist to manage a sales territory, grow Abrasives product-line sales, execute business priorities, and develop customer and channel relationships. The role also involves account management, CRM execution, forecasting, customer presentations, product demonstrations, and collaboration with internal support teams.


Responsibilities

  • Growing sales, developing sales strategies, and adjusting to meet changing market and competitive conditions for Abrasives product lines
  • Work cross functionally with other business disciplines
  • Manage a sales territory to drive growth for the Abrasive Systems Division (ASD)
  • Implement and execute on business priorities
  • Deliver forecast attainment and CRM execution
  • Daily account management using Salesforce.com
  • Support and engage channel, end-users and key accounts with daily sales calls on large-medium customers, corner office meetings, and production floor interaction
  • Prepare and conduct presentations/product demos at distributor partners and end-user customer locations (business reviews, product trainings, etc.)
  • Collaborate with 3M support network to maximize partnership with customers

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • High School Diploma/GED *and* four (4) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver's license
  • Travel: May include up to 30% domestic
  • Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
  • Industrial field sales experience, preferably in abrasives, but not limited to adhesives, safety, or other industrial products
  • Key account management experience working with multi-location customers
  • Experience calling on and managing corner office executive level relationships
  • Experience managing a complex channel landscape within accounts over $1M in annual sales
  • Presentation skills, CRM (Salesforce.com), written and verbal communication, business planning, sales, and competitive testing
