The VP, Learning and Development reimagines, inspires, defines and ensures a world class end-to-end learning experience for all learning communities within AdventHealth. The VP provides leadership across Team Member Learning and the Leadership Institute to ensure industry-leading learning outcomes, technology, and experience design are pursued, tested and deployed in the pursuit of achieving organizational aspirations and operational results. The VP partners closely with talent planning and succession planning efforts to ensure learning strategies develop and retain future-ready talent, while also supporting the organization's innovation strategies to drive continuous improvement and growth across all Learning Communities. Reimagines, inspires and leads a best-in-class Learning and Development function. Leads the development and execution of the learning and development strategy and plan, collaborating with senior leaders and cascading throughout all AH markets. Identifies synergies that support the organizational vision between all learning communities – Leadership, Team Members, Clinical Learners, and Future Talent. Ensures organization mission, values, leadership framework, and aspirations are embedded in learning experiences across the organization. Partners with external universities and academic institutions to support the development of a talent pipeline supportive of future workforce needs. Supports learning governance strategy and operational plans in partnership with senior leadership. Maintains key relationships and provides strategic consultation to enable the best use of learning capabilities to drive business results. Accountable to continuously assess organizational needs and adjust strategies, reprioritizing based on organizational needs and learner experience. Communicates the learning strategy, progress against goals, key strategic initiatives and forecasts the teams’ ability to deliver innovative solutions. Leads efforts to create a unified set of learning platforms and tools for business units to leverage. Supports investment in learning and ongoing resource allocation. Creates effective senior business leader relationships to ensure learning is fully integrated into business unit priorities, talent acquisition, development, and team member retention strategies.
