Long-Term YouTube Video Editor (Talking Head & Gaming Explainer Videos) ($125 PER WEEKLY VIDEO)

Other Jobs To Apply

I'm looking for a long-term YouTube editor to work with me on one video every week for $125 per video.

The channel focuses on helping competitive FPS players improve through educational content. Videos combine talking-head footage, gameplay, motion graphics, diagrams, and visual explanations.

This is not a highlight montage channel. The goal is to make complex gaming concepts easy to understand while keeping viewers engaged.

What You'll Be Editing:

One video every week

7–14 minutes long

Talking head + gameplay

Educational/explainer style

Retention-focused editing for the first 90 seconds

Motion graphics and animated visual explanations

Sound effects, zooms, and supporting visuals where appropriate

I will provide:

Final script

Voiceover

Talking-head footage

Gameplay footage

Hera AI motion graphics license (can give a crash course on how it's used if needed)

Required

Experience editing YouTube videos

Attention to pacing and storytelling

Ability to communicate visually, not just cut footage

Reliable communication

Ability to meet weekly deadlines

Willingness to join a short weekly review meeting

Preferred

Knowledge of competitive FPS games

Understanding of YouTube retention editing

Experience editing educational or explainer content

Ability to source royalty-free B-roll, graphics, or sound effects when needed

I'm looking for someone to build a working relationship with over many months, not to just edit one video. The goal is to develop a consistent editing style together and continuously improve the quality of the channel.

To Apply Please Include:

-Your three best YouTube videos

-Which editing software you use

-Your favorite gaming or educational YouTube creator and why you think their editing works

-Whether you have experience with motion graphics

-The word "Gridshot" somewhere in your proposal so I know you've read the entire posting

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid test edit before a long-term hire is made.
